What is Enhanced Fire Protection?
Your tax dollars help to fund the C&B Fire Department in their mission to protect the areas of Sangaree. Each year, the tax district provides C&B Fire Department with approximately $46,000 to fund two paid firefighter positions.
Founded in 1962 with headquarters located at 509 Royle Rd, C&B Fire Department is a mostly volunteer department that runs calls ranging from fires to motor vehicle accidents to medical help.
Sangaree Station was built in 2009 using funds from the Sangaree Special Tax District. This station currently houses C&B Fire Department personnel from Monday – Friday between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.
Future plans are to have full time, 24/7 personnel manning this station to help cover all calls within Sangaree and the surrounding area.
